April 27, 2017 ~ On this Saturday, April 29, citizens can vote on a 7 mil property tax for flood protection. The tax will fund the parish's portion of a Hurricane/Flood Protection Levee which extends 18 miles from the Bonnet Carre Spillway in Montz to Mt. Airy.
