June 16, 2017 ~ St. John the Baptist Parish announced it will conduct the first in a series of code enforcement sweeps of the east bank of the parish that aim to respond to property violations and improve quality of life of all residents.

June 15, 2017 ~ The Fairfield Inn & Suites Laplace, owned by Marriott, will have 94 rooms, which includes approximately 23 suites. The hotel will also have an outdoor pool, fitness center, sun dry shop, and meeting room.
