Heart Health Awareness Month
Parish President Natalie Robottom proclaimed February as Heart Health Awareness Month at a recent council meeting and staff members join her on Fridays by wearing "red" in support of National Wear Red Day.
The month of February is dedicated to raising awareness about heart disease and increasing knowledge about prevention. St. John Parish employees will continue to wear red on Fridays throughout the month to spread the word.
Residents and employees are encouraged to learn more about the dangers of heart disease and heart attack symptoms by visiting the American Heart Association's website at www.heart.org.
