Roland Borne Sr., Memorial Library Ribbon Cutting


After months of construction at the Roland Borne Sr., Memorial Library in Edgard, Parish President Natalie Robottom, her Administrative staff, Councilmen Larry Sorapuru and Kurt Becnel, joined Library Director Trina Smith, Asst. Librarian Tammy Houston and a host of elected officials and library staff for a ribbon cutting ceremony recently. Also on hand for the celebration were Sheriff Mike Tregre, Assessor Lucien Gauff, long-time Library Board Member Norris Millet and Thomas Brown from Sizeler Thompson Brown Architects (design engineer for project).


Renovations, constructed by M & H Builders, included an additional 1,957 square foot area to the existing library equipped with a new spacious lobby, study rooms, computer space, fresh carpet, bathrooms, and paint. Upon completion, the new addition was outfitted with furniture, computers and bookshelves. Read more at
