Water Conservation Tips

  1. Turn off the water when brushing teeth; use cup of water to rinse with.
  2. When shaving, place water in basin or sink rather than having it run continually.
  3. Use your dishwasher and clothes washer for full loads only.
  4. Minimize use of kitchen sink garbage disposal units.
  5. When washing dishes by hand, do not leave the water running for rinsing.
  6. Do not let the faucet run while you clean vegetables.
  7. Keep a bottle of drinking water in the fridge.
  8. Taking showers instead of baths can save approximately 30 gallons of water.
  9. Water your lawn in the morning or evening when temperatures are cooler to minimize evaporation.
  10. Check indoors and outdoors for small leaks.
